1st Sunday of each month: Locals Day - free admission for Key West locals and students

3rd Saturday of each month: Native Plant Sale at our nursery

3rd Saturday of each month: Speaker Series

Yoga - Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 to 11:15 am [Details]

Sat. January 21st at 1:30pm  “Sea Level Rise and Natural Solutions for the Florida Keys”  --  Chris Bergh, South Florida Conservation  Director, The Nature Conservancy

Sat. February 11th at 1:30pm  “The Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail” – Andy Wraithmell, Information Specialist, Wildlife Viewing, Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, Talahassee FL

AND:  10:00am to noon,  “Wings Over Florida Bird and Butterfly Field Trip” through the Botanical Garden.  Earn your Ruby-throated Hummingbird certificate the maybe your Zebra Longwing Butterfly certificate with Birding Train coordinator Whitney Gray and supervisor Anne Glick.

Note:  This event runs concurrent with the Annual Gardenfest at the Botanical Garden.

GardenFest and Green Market Key West
February 11 – 12, 2017, 10AM – 4PM Daily

A giant plant sale offers visitors a chance to peruse a wide array of native and exotic tropical plants, Earth based art and healthy living vendors.  Enjoy a perfect day in the Garden where organic and healthy food vendors as well as a beer and wine bar will be available in the Courtyard along with the talents of local musicians.

 

Migration Mania
April 8, 2017

For children of all ages who like birds and butterflies.  The Garden, with its green canopy and fresh water ponds, provides a welcome rest and refueling stop for migrating birds.  Birders have long flocked to the Garden, but this light-hearted event imparts valuable knowledge to the uninitiated about natural phenomena while entertaining with arts, crafts, games and an egg hunt.

April - July 2017

Explore a unique blend of sculptured art with Mother Nature that enhances both. The Key West Art Garden showcases local artist’s art work made mostly out of recycled materials displayed as part of nature within the beautiful grounds of the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden. Art displayed throughout the garden allows visitors to reignite their sense of exploration finding each treasure and appreciating the workmanship in the nature and art.
