A Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden Event

Speaker Series: Birding Basics

9:30 am, April 23

Note: This information is from the event archive and is no longer current.

This is a session for those who have never tried birding, but are interested in how it's done.

Pat Ayers, Tropical Forest Volunteer and avid birder, will introduce you to the four basic initial steps to identifying a bird, the use of binoculars, where to find them and reference books to get you started.  The session will be held in the outdoor classroom behind the Garden office.

Come prepared for a walk through the grounds.

Admission is free to Garden members and students with ID and $5 for others.
